As a Sales Manager, you will drive the sales performance of Marketing & Sales in Electrifications, Smart Buildings in Istanbul, Turkey, specifying and implementing effective sales and business-development initiatives in line with global strategy. You will lead and coach the local sales organization to meet ambitious targets and exceed customer expectations.

Your responsibilities

  • Defines and implements channel sales strategy in specified market and budget for assigned accounts and ensures regular follow-up in cooperation with Region Sales Managers. Responsible for providing channel strategy input for the Sales team, and for harmonizing the market sales and marketing plans to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously monitor channel performance.
  • Defines key targets (e.g., volume, prices, mix) and ensures these are achieved for the channel. Ensures detailed business plans with regular follow up are in place.
  • Contributes in critical sales and key frame agreements negotiations.
  • Identifies and evaluates channel partners and authorizes them in coordination with the Sales Management team.
  • Coordinate’s sales and marketing efforts and pricing policies that require channel partner participation.Ensures appropriate communication, promotion, and training activities in the channel.
  • Evaluates and certifies Channel partners in cooperation with Region Sales Managers. Ensures training for Channel and ABB personnel in aspects of marketing analysis, market segmentation, demand creation techniques, channel models and cost structures, effective channel program development and channel metrics.
  • Supports driving strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with partners, customers, and other decision makers.
  • Monitor’s client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams.
  • Responsible for identifying and managing risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/ channels.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with minimum 8 or more years relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience working with the machinery equipment manufacturers customers and channel partners.
  • Fluent in English and Turkish native speaker.
  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.
  • Ability to establish relationships with all levels of a customer’s organization.
  • Must be self-starter and pro-active. Be able to work independently as well as in team.
  • Demonstrated experience of project execution
  • Knowledge and experience of driving application of standardized Marketing & Sales processes and tools (e.g.).
  • Salesforce, eApprove, Proposal Sharepoint, Product Line plans etc.).
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, combined with problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A solid understanding of contract negotiations, risk management, commercial and legal terms.
  • Available to travel in the Turkey (up to 50%).
