The Gordon is seeking to appoint a skilled and qualified individual into the role of Librarian, Digital Capabilities, in a full-time ongoing capacity. This remarkable and valuable opportunity will work across our campus network, representing the program through collaborative partnerships and coordinate projects to achieve strategic goals.
Reporting to the Manager, Learner Engagement; this specialised opportunity will plan, coordinate, develop and deliver on co-curricular blended and digital learning experiences for students. Advocating digital capability development, learning support, the role provides expertise that drives innovative tactics in digital capability, encouraging students and teachers alike to utilise our libraries and learning resources to their full potential.
Forming part of the Student Success Centre, the role collaborates throughout the entire Institute to assist with user comprehension, capability and enhance programs, systems and resources.

The Librarian Digital Capabilities facilitates digital and blended access to library and learning support resources, services, programs, and study spaces.

In essence, the position will (but not limited to)
- Ensure currency with emerging learning technologies, Library Information and Digital Capability, Learning Support programs are available to support library cohorts, students, teachers and staff.
- Build collaborative partnerships with teaching staff, Business and Vocational Managers, Employee Experience and relevant people leaders to achieve Library and Student Success initiatives and objectives.
- Formulate and uphold specialist and educational expertise through personal learning networks, industry and professional development.
- Add valuable methodologies and approaches to current and future programs that enable student participation and success, including orientation and on boarding activities.
- Align and participate in annual events that celebrate diversity.
- Identify policy and procedure reviews, implement and communicate relevant changes as required to maintain academic integrity and digital capability in complex frameworks and systems.
