ABOUT THE ROLE

At our Ammonia/Urea Plant in Kapuni, South Taranaki, we have a passion for innovation, efficiency and safety. This is your opportunity to stand out as a quality focused Laboratory Technician. You will be involved in the sampling and analysis of our products, utilising a variety of processes both on-site and with the prospect of involvement in other testing areas. You will be responsible for:

  • Sampling and analysis of raw materials and finished product
  • On-going servicing and calibration of equipment

ABOUT YOU

It's important you have a growth mindset as your aptitude for learning will enable you to develop a broader skill base due to the variety of processes used on-site. As well as this, you will also have:

  • 6th Form Certificate in Chemistry and Mathematics or NCEA Level Two in Chemistry and Mathematics (minimum of 20 credits in each).
  • An ability to relate well and closely interact with others, forming positive team relationships
  • Proactive attitude to health, safety and environmental management.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to relate well to others.
  • Full Driver’s License is essential as you will be required to drive to various points for sampling (Ability to drive a manual vehicle is desirable)

Your availability for roster weekends and on-call work is expected and your adaptability and flexibility is essential to meet business demands.
