Project Manager (Construction) [Malaysia]


 

Job Description

  • Supervise construction project from start to finish - plan and schedule construction operations to ensure deadlines are met
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to understand the project details and requirements.
  • Liaison with external contractors and price negotiation to attain the best deals and rates for assignments.
  • Ensure permits, licenses and necessary approvals are obtained and maintained in order.
  • Recruit personnel and contractors for the project as per requirements.
  • Delegate tasks and assign responsibilities to personnel, oversee personnel to ensure the tasks are carried out.
  • Monitor the performance of on-site personnel and provide directions and feedback as and when required.
  • Ensure resources are being used optimally and efficiently to provide best results.
  • Address any grievances of personnel.
  • Report any discrepancies to superiors and implement effective and timely solutions.
  • Ensure all legal, health and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the project.
  • Documenting project correspondence and keeping management informed of project status, progress updates and communicating any issues which impact project delivery

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction/ Civil Engineering/ Project Management, or related field
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of related experience in building construction
  • Strong knowledge of construction management processes
  • Ability to manage project, contractors and project team independently will be an added advantage

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 17 months

Salary: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
